Product description

Roast, boil or slow cook this classic joint for succulent gammon with a sweet, salty flavour. Enjoy alongside our Chefs' prepared Dauphinoise Potatoes and Caramelised Carrots for a delicious roast dinner. Put any leftover slices into sourdough bread with plenty of mature Cheddar cheese and tomato chutney for an oozy grilled sandwich.

HOW TO STORE

  1. Storage: Keep frozen at -18°C or below
  2. Defrost: Defrost in refrigerator overnight. Do not re-freeze once defrosted
  3. Shelf life defrosted: Store in refrigerator and use within 24 hours

Nutritional Information
 

Cooking Instructions:   Traditional Gammon Joint Cooking guidelines from defrosted: remove the joint from the packaging and rinse well in cold water.
Place gammon in a large pan, cover with cold water and cook for 30 minutes per 500g.
Bring to the boil, skim any froth and reduce heat, cover and simmer for the required time.
Remove from the pan, allow to drain well and lightly score the fat.
Preheat an oven 200°C/ fan 180°C/gas 6
Place the drained joint into an oven proof dish and cook in the preheated oven for a further 15 - 30 minutes until juices run clear.
Allow to rest somewhere warm for 10 - 15 minutes before serving.
